Benefit- High Beam

I have tried many different highlighters over the years and i always end up coming back to high beam by Benefit. i love the formula of this as well as the colour of the highlighter.

High beam is a light pink pearlescent highlighter that creates a gorgeous dewy glow, the more you blend this product out the sheerer it becomes. I have also added a small amount of the high beam to my moisturiser if my skin is looking a bit dull and tired and hey presto i look like my skin has been kissed by angels.
Unblended High Beam

I mainly use this dotted along my cheek and brow bone then blended out with my finger or a concealer brush, and let me tell you when the light hits the highlight it looks incredible.

The formulation of this is really lovely, i have quite dry skin and i find quite a few highlighters can dry my skin out after a while however High beam doesn't seem to have that effect this is due to the really creamy consistency. One thing to watch out for when using this is less is more if you use too much in one spot you can go from looking dewy to excessively shimmery.

My only issue with this is the packaging, it comes in a nail polish style bottle which inevitably means that you will not be able to get every drop of product out of the bottle and the fact it retails at £19.50 this kinda annoys me.

Emma Hardie - Moringa Cleansing Balm

So after reading all the hype around the Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm I finally caved and purchased it. I have to say i was quite surprised by the price £36.00 for 100g personally i think this is very reasonable when you take into consideration you will only have one skin your whole life.

First off the packaging of this product is beautiful the balm comes in a gold pot with a clear outer casing ( I'm a sucker for nice packaging). The balm its self smells really fresh, the consistency is somewhat hard to categorise though its in between a sold balm and a liquid (it moves around when you tip the pot).

Cleansing balm

I scoop out a small amount of product from the pot (5 pence piece size) slightly wet my hands and rub the product between them, this will create a whitish cream this is when i rub the balm in circular motions on  my face ( you don't need to have a west face for this BONUS)  working from the middle of my face outwards.

Dual cleansing cloth
I tend to let this sit for a few minutes so my skin can get as much benefit out of the balms as possible, whilst i'm waiting for i fill the sink with warm water and soak the dual cleansing cloth the balm comes with, the cloth is double sided there is a soft  microfibre side to polish the face and the slightly more abrasive muslin side if for exfoliation.

After using this balm i have to say in my opinion it is worth the hype i have noticed a massive difference in my skin which is usually very dry not this balm leaves my skin is feeling clean but not stripped of moisture. I would highly recommend purchasing this product its a good investment.

Invisibobble

Invisibobble is the answer to your ponytail prayers. The invisibobble promises to leave no 'kink' in your hair after wearing it in a ponytail it also says it will not cause headaches or pulling to the hair.

Invisibobble retails at £3.75 for three

The invisibobble is unique in the telephone style band that causes uneven pressure around the ponytail meaning no indentation is caused, i have tested this out by sleeping in the bobble overnight multiple times and as if like magic no indentation when removed in the morning.

This is has quickly become my holy grail hair bobble I don't use anything else now. I have noticed a dramatic reduction in the hair breakage when wearing my hair up ( i'm quite partial to a cheerleader pony) when my hair is dry as well as wet.The only thing i don't like about this hair bobble is the limited colour options it would be nice to have them available in hair colours like brown or blonde like regular bands.

Real Techniques Bold Metals- 301 Flat Contour

Before i even start i have to say i freaking love this brush, Bold Metals is the newest collection from the amazing Chapman sisters also know as Pixiwoo.

The Bold Metals collection is a more professional artistry brush , it features a triangular brush handle with a weighted feral which makes it super easy to get the brush at the right angle in your hand. The bristles are so dense and tightly packed you can get right into the hollows of your cheeks but are still able to blend out the product for a subtle contour ( we don't all want to look like kim k).

I am in love with this brush not only for the practicality of it and they way it has changed my make-up game; but it looks absolutely exquisite on my dressing table you can see just how much attention to detail has been given from the high gloss rose gold handle embossed with real technique logo and brush number. The rose gold colour also flows into the bottom of the bristles that are individually glued into the feral.

Let me know which real technique brushes you have tried.

Bourjois rouge edition-fuchsia graffiti

Fuchsia Graffiti
The suns out which means I can rock the bright lips, my current fav is fuchsia graffiti by Bourjois this lipstick is so freaking amazing it is highly pigmented for a full colour punch to the mouth( maybe don't try that with the lipstick).

The formulation of the lipstick is beautiful its a super glossy finish that last a surprisingly long time, the consistency is almost like a cream it leaves your lips feeling really moisturised (which i love) .

The shade of fuchsia graffiti is almost a raspberry tone which has a blue shimmer and undertones (great for making teeth look whiter) the shimmer isn't overly noticeable but i think it adds a little extra something to the shade. I'm going to have to try the rest of this collection.

All you need is a smile

Marilyn Monroe once said  a a smile is the best make-up any girl can wear, now a bit of mascara or lipstick can help here and there but a smile truly is the best  (its free too). I honestly believe that beauty does come from within if you are happy with yourself and your body then this is reflected on the outside.

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”

Learning to be happy with who you are is a long and sometimes hard journey to take, but it is one that is worth it. Now i'm not saying that being happy with your body means you cant change. Being happy in your skin means you are 100% comfortable with you and no one can change that, you need to love yourself before you can let others do the same. So ladies get smiling and wow the world with your beauty.

Discovery of Coconut Oil

Who knew one fruit could have so many uses! Since discovering coconut oil i think it is fair to say i've  become a a tiny bit obsessed.

I started using coconut oil as a hair mask mainly due to years of bleaching and dying my hair it became brittle and prone to breakage, by using the oil once a week as a deep conditioning mask on the ends of my hair it was so simple just run it thorough the ends and chuck it into a bun for 1hr to overnight then wash it when ready. My hair became  smoother and looked sleeker to top it off it was growing (fast) i'm not going to claim this is a miracle oil that will make you like Rapunzel, but it is inexpense you can pick up a jar at most supermarkets for less that £3.00 and can be used for some many different things beauty and household.

my most recent use for the oil is thanks to  many blogs and  pintrest showing various methods of using the oil to remove make-up.I started by scraping a small amount from the jar; one of the great things about the oil is less is more. i warm the the hard oil between my fingers for a few seconds( some people may prefer to do this in the microwave) then apply in circler motions to my face making sure to go the eyes last as this will give you  serious panda eyes. I tend to let the oil sit absorb slightly before removing it with a muslin cloth soaked in warm water. whola make-up free face with seriously soft skin.
